Bell & Ross Boutique, The Block Arcade Melbourne
ACRD had the pleasure of designing the first Boutique store in Australia- 18sqm of French Swiss watch luxury, in conjunction with Bell & Ross Paris. Designed for professionals, and known for its classic time instrument square case inspired by the cockpit of planes, the luxury watch brand, Bell & Ross, has always been faithful to their philosophy of “function initiates form”. The Boutique is situated in The Block Arcade, a premium locale in Melbourne’s leading tourist retail precinct and an iconic retail centre renowned for its richly decorated interior spaces, replete with mosaic tiled flooring, glass canopy, wrought iron and carved stone finishings. It is the 13th Bell & Ross Boutique worldwide, as part of a global brand expansion program to complement its existing retail footprint in Paris, Vienna, Prague, Moscow, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Taiwan, Singapore, Beijing and Macau. The brief to ACRD was to design the Boutique to be a flawless reflection of the brand’s image and has been built in which the same principle of the brand’s timepieces are expressed, through pure lines and timeless elegance of the dark, masculine reflective glass and wooden panels. The focus of the design is clearly on the watches but the store brings a rich atmosphere with the warm walnut walls and soft oak washed parquetry floors. The large fighter pilot graphic personifies the heritage of the brand and the black ceiling blends seamlessly into the overall design. ACRD collaborated with Grange Projects to deliver the project in 8 weeks from design to completed store and the end result reinforces ACRD’s proven retail design capabilities. Australia is the fastest growing market for Bell & Ross and ACRD looks forward to partnering with Bell & Ross Paris on future Australian retail projects.
